Sergio's Letter

It' been almost a year since I decided to sponsor a child through Compassion. His name is Sergio and he's only 5 years old. His birthday, March 7, is not only a special day for him but for me as well. It's the same month and day that I gave my life to Christ. He's a very special child, and it puts a huge smile on my face to know that I am making a difference in his life. He is too young to understand this, but he continues to impact my life everyday.

I love receiving mail : and every so often I am graced with a letter from Sergio. Since he is only Five, his tutor writes them, but even so...they are wonderful! He draws me a picture every time, and always has lots to say. His tutor will inform me how his family is doing, what school has been teaching him, how the program works, and what his favorite things to do are. Sergio has lots of friends and loves sports. Christmas is just around the corner and I was given the opportunity to send him more money in order for him to have a special Christmas. I don't always know what is bought with the money, but it doesn't matter. I'm happy to hear that he's doing well, and I continue to pray for him and his family. The letters are enough, but I would love to visit him someday.
