We all have them...

All of us are constantly being transfigured into His very own
image in every increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another;
[for this comes] from the Lord [Who sees] the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:18

If you're one that catches my blog regularly you've probably noticed my ongoing posts about relationships. As much as we want to keep telling ourselves that we can survive on our own...I don't care how independent you may think you are...God made us all for relationships. I'm a rather stubborn girl and I use to wear that independent mask with so much pride. It still seems to casually show up, but for the most part I'm learning how to be without it. I just never wanted people to think I was incapable of doing things for myself. Depending on what I was trying to figuring out - I may not have come up with the best solution, but if my idea worked then I rolled with it. It came to me that getting input from other people can be helpful, it's not showing any weaknesses when I ask for guidance. If you've already figured this out - - AWESOME. If not, it will come...it's not always easy to show the rawness of yourself. Your mask can be completely different, and maybe there's more than one that you're hiding behind. Independance isn't the only one I've got, but it's definitely the one thats most elaborate, complex, and has it's own ego.
I challenge you to take a step. Try to de-mask yourself. I was impressed to see, actually see, the color and beauty that was hiding behind all of that other stuff.
*Good luck*
