3/7/02 - The day Sergio was born

I've written about Sergio before, but in case you missed it, he's a little boy I sponsor in Columbia. When I chose him to sponsor I didn't realize we had something so significant happen on the same day. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of Sergio and his family. To know that for only $35/month I'm helping mold this young boy into a strong follower of Christ - - how could anyone pass up that opportunity? I get letters occasionally updating me on his family and what the Compassion program is doing for him.
Every time I look at my wrist not only does it give me a chance to recall what prices were paid for me, a glimmer of hope comes to my eyes to know that a little boy in Columbia is becoming closer and closer to the Truth.
