Because it matters...

Beauty speaks. Whether chaotic or simple, beauty speaks. This world is full of loud, fast, attention hogging, no time to do things that truly matter - - stuff. It’s hard to catch a glimpse of reality when all we can think about is due dates, meetings, scheduling conflicts, etc. Take yourself to that special place, and it’s almost like your heart has room to spread out and grow. Make it a regular thing, find that beautiful place and strip yourself of worries - - what happens after that may surprise you. It’s important to know that Beauty speaks, we may not always understand it, but at least we’re listening.

Beauty invites. What captures your heart? - -The need to explore, read more, find meaning. It’s like putting your favorite song on repeat so you can learn every word, partake in the story and let it hold your attention for the entire four minutes. When that song comes over the radio unexpectedly, all you do is smile. These are the things God wants from us too, the hunger for more. The invitation is there to do with it what we long to do. Indulge.

Beauty nourishes and comforts. We crave it, and are healed by its wonder. We all have bad days, and when someone pays us a compliment in those hours or even sends us a little note - - the beauty in the simple things tends to make these hard moments well again. A smile to a stranger, pat on the back, or a “good morning” - may not be significant to you at the time, but it always has the power to lift someone’s spirits a bit higher.

You may associate woman with beauty. But more than that it may also be the most misunderstood part of our Loving God, through all of its parts; it is the most essential element. If you know Him you must love Him, and you must seek Him with your whole heart. Like any woman, she wants to feel that want and need to know and pursue her, she won’t let you in unless she knows you love her.

It all starts with listening - so open up and always be aware.
