Heads Up

Here we go - - I'm apologizing for my lack of writing. *Sorry!* My life isn't lame by any means, it's just been crazy busy these last several weeks.

My aunt from SC came to visit. That woman is amazing, and might I add she's a wonderful cook. My mom and I didn't quite know how to act, homemade meals every night, and of course we hit up Chubby Trout for her last night in town. My mom and her sister are 2 peas in a pod, and when you get them together - - it's unpredictable. Before she left we promised her a road trip - Miss Judy and I will be heading to South Carolina the last week in week in July for a driving extravaganza. (We will call it 2 girls and a dog....to be continued)

4th of July is now over, and let me just tell you - -it was a good time! Nothing but lake time, and a bunch of relaxing. *Can't go wrong with any of that!* Jeff got to enjoy Lake James as well, he now knows the true sport of the "sandbar." He looked at me once and asked what it is we do at the lake...I said "This is it, just sit and relax. There's no time here..." He was fine with that - it was nice to see him chill out for a day. With a wave runner ride, and some fireworks the 4th ended on a high note. After that he was headed off for his 2nd week at Camp Adventure, and I was spending my week in Granger for work and play.

The campers and counselors returned back more revved up than anything I've seen. I was able to sit with them at the Saturday night service where Papa B hit it out of the park...again. Afterwards we all went to B-Dubs for a little fun/food/fellowship - -all really good things* I got to see Nicole, gosh I missed that girl! We are planning on a "swing set night" sometime soon...more on that later. (Let's just say it's a way to relive some unreal Mexico moments before they leave a week from this Saturday) It was also a way for me to see everyone since Lifeline has ended for the summer. I've taken a Time Out this summer and it's been hard to see everyone. There were hugs all around thanks to Sarah, Ang, Angie, Brooke, Ruby - - it was great to catch up before everyone starts their own new adventure.

This week has been busy with a couple different jobs I got into, but so far so good. Jeff is now in Chicago with other leaders and students, check out the blog
HERE. Sarah Koutz is helping to lead, and that girl can do just about anything. As they continue to serve, build, grow, teach, and impact I'll be praying for them on the sidelines ...and you can help with that too.

So in a nutshell that's been my life - August is just around the corner...and you know what that means....School

- - oh yeah, I signed up for more classes...that was such a joy!
