Friday (somewhat weekend) - I spent the day at Starbucks with a fellow photographer editing pictures and then we hit up Ritter's for some Blueberry Glaciers...YUM! My day was packed and the night was even better! I met the girls at Hacienda for some din-din and then headed back to the Mann's residence for some hang out time. Some of us started with crafts, while others started watching Sex In The City (also known as the "trashy flick" - thank you Kim!) Sarah did a great job with taking pictures, and was even kind enough to have Chloe and I in on the action. After a few hours we all found ourselves downstairs attacking the Wii with some outstanding athletic moves - - okay...truthfully - Chloe kicked my butt! The night was great - it was definitely needed in my book*
Saturday - I met one of our fabulous high school girls for lunch. We hadn't seen each other in ages, and it was nice to chat about life, school, relationships, church, family, work - then whole crazy thing! She has an amazing head on her shoulders, and is extremely motivated - I can't wait to see what she ends up doing after her Senior year. I got a chance to invite her back to GSM, because she also had been taking some time off. Schedules get busy - but it was important for her to know how much she had been missed, and how much we all wanted her there.
Sunday - Laaaaazy day! I finished my pictures and then got ready for GSM. Low and behold my lovely friend from Saturday showed up! I was so pumped, the message was great and she came up to me afterwards thanking me for insisting her to show up. It's always nice to spend the evening with the everyone at GSM - all the students are phenomenal, and the funny thing is - - no matter the age difference, we continue to push each other. I was greeted with tons of hugs and and got to reconnect with a couple people I hadn't seen in a while - -so great!
