But when they deliver you up, do not be anxious about how
or what you are to speak; for what you are to say will be given
you in that very hour and moment, for it is not you who are speaking,
but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
or what you are to speak; for what you are to say will be given
you in that very hour and moment, for it is not you who are speaking,
but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Matthew 10:19-20
So it occurred to me that way too often I try to evaluate a situation before it happens. (Don't roll your eyes, you do the same thing) I sit there and put together every piece of the puzzle, mostly with conversations. Well if I bring this up, then here is what they will probably say...so on and so forth. We assume too much way too often. I have been known to start out a conversation like this...
"You are going to think I'm crazy, roll your eyes, and probably think this is the most ridiculous thing you've ever heard...but....."
Honestly, why do I do that? If this person is as loving as I think they are it wouldn't matter what I have to say.
Or you could just bring up part of the issue because the other part may lead them to think something else. It's all just way to confusing to me, conversations are tough but if we rely on the truth of the Holy Spirit to help guide us in the right direction - - we might find ourselves in that shaky territory with more confidence.

Girls are so guilty of this. We do it all the time. I'm just going to ponder this - what if in every conversation we focused on letting the Spirit guide our words?! Imagine the difference...
