Normally on Tuesdays and Thursdays I make my way to Starbucks between classes. I study, read, write, listen to music, basically get things accomplished - today was no different except I graced by the presence of an elderly couple sitting next to me. Usually old people creep me out, but these 2 were so sweet! I had my computer out, Art History book opened, and a quiz in my hands...trying hard to focus on finding the correct answers - but as I sat there I couldn't help but over hear what they were saying.
The elderly woman said something to her husband about how they have to call so-and-so and sing Happy Birthday to them...she giggled. Her husband sat there, and just took in his surroundings: people gathering, studying, talking - - all of course younger than he and his wife. The lady began reading her book, and when she did so she leaned over to her husband and told him she was turning down her hearing aid...I just smiled. She was adorable. The husband said something to his wife about leaving - - his watch said 25 after...buuuut her watch said 20 after (and she of course led him to believe that her watch was correct) He told her to finish up her coffee and then they would be leaving - meanwhile he asks her if she likes the book she's reading. (almost flirting with her..I guess married people still flirt, I dunno) - she responded, finished her coffee and then put her jacket on. As they stood up to leave he leaned over to me and said, "Have fun with Art History. I remember taking that class a long time ago. I responded with a smile and said, "You're right, I will. Thanks!" - - I should of had him take the quiz for me or at least help me out...because it's history right...he and I would have learned the same things about it.
I just thought this was a cute story - here they are an elderly couple sitting in a Starbucks surrounded by college students...I couldn't help but think that they were perhaps smiling inside due to the fact that we, college age kids, are the younger generation creating/learning/teaching this world.
keep instilling in me the ability to learn and grow in every area of my life

That story is so nice!
That's the kind of relationship I would like to have: everlasting love. That couple sounds loving towards each other and that's the sweetest thing on Earth!
(BTW your writing style is very easy to read and it calls attention very well, that's so cool!)
