GSM 10/26

The leaders meeting was fantastic! This was my first time gathering with everyone, middle school leaders included - and it was so encouraging. After sitting there for a while, DC announced that we would get the chance to group up and talk with other leaders. As exciting as that sounded...I started sweating. He informed us that the numbers at our seats matched other peoples - we were suppose to find them, and well...talk. It was chaotic, loud, everyone was moving, ohhhh I was freaking out. Over the past few years at GSM I've learned that I'm not as "random" as I thought I was...and activities like that (although fun once you get settled) tend to make my blood pressure rise.

During our group chat I was paired up with another high school leader and 1 middle school leader. I loved every second of it, you can sense so much passion with these leaders. The middle school leader is a Freshman in High School, and has so much drive and character it was amazing. It's incredibly motivating to see students that we (adults) lead, have the chance to lead younger students.

I think students grow the most during their MS and HS years. To know that I have been blessed with the chance to lead along side some of the most influential people is awesome - and it's even better to see other students do the same thing.

In conclusion, our student ministry team kicks major butt...and I love being a part of it.
